Its been a long season but all the hard work and effort has been worthwhile with the club's 1st XI winning silverware for the first time since 1961 as Champions of the ECB Chapel Press Cheshire County League First Division. Congratulations go to Skipper Chris Watson and the rest of his team on a fantastic performance throughout the season. The hard work of getting the team ready to make an impact in the Premier Division in 2010 begins now.
Also finding success were the Over 40s team who won the East Central Division and were narrowly defeated in the T20 Final at Neston. Our 2nd, 3rd and Sunday 3rd XIs finished in comfortable mid table positions and our new 4th XI battled hard with a very young team to finish 6th in their division.
Our junior teams continued to develop with excellent performances at all levels. Particular congratulations should go to the Under 13s who finished as runner up in their League Cup competition.
A big thank you goes out to all members for their hard work during this summer and for their efforts in raising funds for the new outdoor net practice facility, which should be in place for the start of the 2010 season.
